Our success story started in 1926 when Gustav Schwebinghaus founded the Lusbrink & Schwebinghaus oHG together with his partner Paul Lusbrink. In fact, the name LUBERO was created as an approximate abbreviation of the last names of the founders as well as of the formerly independent Ronsdorf district of the City of Wuppertal. They initially produced only holding tools for various machine tools, but in the 1930's, they then started manufacturing round and hexagon cutting dies made of tool steel at first, and made of HSS later.

Gustav Schwebinghaus died during a forced transition in the arms industry in World War II. Until his son Alfred returned from captivity in 1949, Paul Lusbrink headed the company alone.

In 1954, Alfred Schwebinghaus, now the sole owner, started production of hand taps, and of machine taps later, for the most common thread types and shapes. In the following years, the production area and the machine park were continuously expanded; the company's profits, thanks to its structure as a sole proprietorship, were rigorously invested in the further development of products and manufacturing processes. This is still the reason today for the high quality of LUBERO tools.

The current owner Gerd Schwebinghaus started at the company in 1980 after completing his degree in mechanical engineering and has headed the company under sole responsibility since 1996. In the meantime, LUBERO has become a specialist for thread technology. In addition to manufacturing of numerous standard items, the company focuses particularly on designing special threading tools. Users as well as our competitors profit from our many years of experience and the quality and process security that comes with this experience.

Today, we have about 8000 items in two program lines.

With our high quality EXPERT program, we can react quickly and flexibly to special customer requirements. For this purpose, we maintain threading tools for almost every application available. In addition to the large number of standard versions designed for the widest possible variety of materials, we are also able to handle special requests at any time. For example, we are happy to make additional modifications such as the use of different coatings or changes to the cutting geometry. For special tools, we have access to a comprehensive store of blanks with prefabricated DIN tools up to a diameter of approximately 250 mm. This makes incredibly short delivery times possible.
